🌻 On Friday, July 4th, 2025, there was celebrating, laughing, and feasting at Quintex! 🍾

Our annual summer party invited everyone to a lovely get-together, accompanied by a delicious buffet provided by the Golfhotel Bundschuh.

The active part of the day was mastered with the help of a 5x5 meter dartboard, where we were able to show off our athletic skills.

Our wonderful celebration was rounded off by the incredibly tasty ice cream from the Le Delizie ice cream truck. 🍨

This year, we also celebrated the 10-year anniversary of a highly valued colleague. Cheers to many more years to come! 🎊📜

Lauda. On April 1st, the management of Quintex GmbH in Lauda was handed over to Reiner Friedrich and Thomas Michelbach. Since then, both have been managing the company, which specializes in the manufacture of high-quality components for potentially explosive atmospheres, line bushings, pressurized systems and trace heating.

At the same time, Friedrich has taken over the commercial and sales management and Michelbach the technical management. Both have been co-founders and shareholders of Quintex GmbH for 17 years, which has operated under the motto “Experts in explosion protection - safety for people and systems” since its inception.

Over time, the company, which was founded in 2007 in the i-Park Tauberfranken by five experts and shareholders, has developed from a small to a medium-sized business with around 70 employees and a production and office space of around 2,800 square meters.

Diverse positioning

“Our main focus with our products and components is to ensure operational safety so that no ignitions or explosions occur when hazardous explosive mixtures are created that could damage systems and buildings or harm people's health. With an export share of over 55 percent, we deliver to over 70 countries worldwide,” explain the two current managing directors. In addition to Germany, their main markets are Benelux, Scandinavia, England, the USA, Canada and Asia. English is therefore the most important language, from order processing to management.

“We consciously make sure that our customer structure is diverse and that we don't become dependent on a few large customers. This independence has often helped us in times of national economic weaknesses,” report Friedrich and Michelbach. Another special feature they describe is that Quintex GmbH does not have mass production or subsidiaries, and that it has the freedom to fulfill and implement customer-specific, individual wishes and solutions from the company's location in Lauda-Königshofen.

“Thanks to our broad product portfolio, our company structure and our global customer base, we had no redundancies or short-time working even during the coronavirus pandemic and even experienced slight growth,” they say, looking back with satisfaction. In addition, in the last six months, the company has been able to recruit eleven predominantly young employees. “This is due to the weak market, as younger employees in particular are often not taken on, but see better prospects and development opportunities in a healthy medium-sized company like ours,” the managing directors state.

By switching to a situational management style, it is much easier to respond to the individual needs of employees. Great importance is also attached to promoting a good working atmosphere.

“High flexibility, professional expertise and speed, reliability and trust in favor of customer satisfaction, individual innovations and solutions as well as the highest safety standards and quality guarantees allow us to look to the future with confidence,” say Reiner Friedrich and Thomas Michelbach confidently.
